Departing Trustees Spark Soil Association Spat
Four trustees who recently resigned from Britain’s largest organic group, the Soil Association have claimed the organisation has lost touch with its roots and abandoned the ‘o’ word. The four Trustees resigned following a dispute at the Council’s November meeting over a strategy adopted in 2011 to govern the future direction of the organisation. Food writer Lynda Brown, investigative food journalist Joanna Blythman, author Pat Thomas and founder of the Real Bread Campaign Andrew Whitley announced they were stepping down following an ongoing disagreement.
